SafePAS Tests Portable SMAGRY Analyzer on a Polish Farm

Estonian deep-tech company SafePAS brought its new portable soil analyzer, SMAGRY, to the farm of Paweł Krawiec, accompanied by the Polish association Stowarzyszenie AGROEKOTON. During the visit, the agri-tech startup demonstrated how the compact device can help farmers make more precise decisions when cultivating blueberries and raspberries. The analyzer enables instant testing of both soil and plant leaves, helping identify the optimal nutrient balance and supporting stronger, more resilient crops. SafePAS emphasized that the future of agriculture “fits in a box” and can operate in harmony with nature.

According to the company, Smagry is a comprehensive soil health management system that combines portable analyzers with IoT sensors. The platform measures key nutrient levels and pH and provides smart fertilization recommendations. It includes two core solutions: SMAGRY-nutrients, a portable analyzer designed to quantify ammonium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, nitrates, phosphates, and other ions, and SMAGRY-SOMs, a probe for continuous monitoring of soil organic matter, NPK levels, and electrical conductivity, enabling detailed assessment of soil structure. The platform supports real-time, on-site analysis, mobile app access to data, and optimization of fertilizer dosing, reducing both costs and environmental impact.

SafePAS is known for bringing laboratory-grade precision directly into the field. In addition to the SMAGRY system, the company has developed the Drug Hunter analyzer for rapid drug detection. The manufacturer states that its handheld soil analyzer and cloud-based SaaS platform enable agronomists and consultants to access localized data in real time and generate dynamic fertilization recommendations. Field trials at Krawiec’s farm clearly demonstrated how these technologies are already helping agriculture become more intelligent, sustainable, and data-driven.
