What do you need for drug analysis?

Drug Analyzer and Its Consumables

FAQ

1. What equipment is required to perform drug analysis using the Drug Hunter by SafePAS solution?

Drug testing is carried out using Drug Hunter, a portable analyzer developed by SafePAS. The system is easy to learn: operators typically require just one day of training, after which the device automatically performs self-diagnostics, flushing, sample injection, analysis, and report generation. Drug Hunter is suitable for use in patrol vehicles, police stations, or laboratory environments.

2. What is SALIKIT and what are its advantages?

SALIKIT is a sample collection and preparation kit designed to simplify and accelerate the saliva sampling process. With SALIKIT, a sample can be collected in seconds, even if the donor experiences dry mouth. The kit enables filtration and extraction of drugs with nearly 100% recovery, using a workflow similar to COVID test preparation. SALIKIT is compatible with methods for both traditional drugs and new psychoactive substances (NPS), as well as cannabinoids, eliminating the need for separate kits for different substance types.

3. What are the BGE1 and BGE2 kits used for?

BGE1 and BGE2 are ready-to-use buffer solutions (liquids) utilized by Drug Hunter to separate substances during analysis. BGE1 is designed for traditional drugs, while BGE2 is used for cannabis-related compounds. The analyzer’s software guides the operator on which buffer to select, enabling either a single run for illicit drugs or a separate run for cannabinoids.

4. How automated is the Drug Hunter workflow?

Drug Hunter is fully automated. Before analysis begins, the device performs self-diagnostics, automatically flushes its channels, injects the sample, conducts capillary electrophoresis and fluorescence measurement, and generates a results report. This high level of automation reduces training time and minimizes the risk of operator error.

5. Is it necessary to use separate kits for traditional drugs and cannabinoids?

No. Thanks to SALIKIT, the same consumables kit can be used to analyze traditional drugs, NPS, and cannabinoids (THC, HHC, CBD). This eliminates the need to purchase separate kits for different testing methods, saving both time and cost.
