SMAGRY Selected for the EIT Food Accelerator Network 2026

We are proud to share that SMAGRY by SafePAS has been selected for the EIT Food Accelerator Network, Cohort 2026.

This year, EIT Food selected 65 startups to join its flagship accelerator programme across six specialised technology hubs. The programme connects early-stage agrifood innovators with corporates, investors, research partners and experts to help validate technologies, prepare for commercial growth and accelerate Europe’s food innovation.

For SMAGRY, this is an important milestone.
SMAGRY is developing soil nutrient intelligence technology that helps farmers, agronomists and advisors make faster, more informed decisions. Instead of waiting weeks for traditional soil laboratory results, SMAGRY is designed to bring nutrient analysis closer to the field — supporting same-day insights, parcel-level decisions and more precise fertilisation strategies.

This mission is closely aligned with the challenges highlighted by EIT Food. Europe’s food system is under pressure to become more productive, resilient and sustainable. At the same time, soil health remains a critical issue: a large share of European soils is considered unhealthy, creating an urgent need for better tools, better data and more sustainable agricultural practices.

By joining the EIT Food Accelerator Network, SMAGRY will take part in a programme focused on technology validation, tailored roadmaps, market engagement and collaboration with industry partners. This creates an opportunity to further test, refine and scale SMAGRY for real agricultural use cases — from greenhouses and berries to vineyards and other high-value crops.

For our team, being selected among 65 innovative startups across Europe is both a recognition and a responsibility. We see it as another step toward making soil data more accessible, timely and useful for the people making everyday decisions in agriculture.

We are grateful to EIT Food and the EIT Food Venture Network for this opportunity and look forward to the work ahead.

SMAGRY’s goal is simple: help growers understand what is happening in the soil while there is still time to act.
